The Aberdeen Arts Council will be presenting their first show in the new Aberdeen Performing Arts Center on March 8th, 9th, and 11th. They were not able to secure the performing rights to the previously announced production of The Sound of Music, so instead they will be performing a showcase of the shows they have produced over the past 15 years. Entitled “A Night on Broadway,” the production will feature musical numbers from each of those shows, including, If I Were a Rich Man, from Fiddler on the Roof, Food Glorious Food, from Oliver, and Climb Ev’ry Mountain, from The Sound of Music.This will truly be an unforgettable evening of outstanding performances.

The Aberdeen Arts Council is raising money for additional equipment at the Performing Arts Center. This equipment would include a specialized projector for projecting background images, additional wireless microphones, and new set pieces for the larger stage. We are raising this money through Seat Donations. In recognition of every donation of $250.00 or more, we will place a small plaque on one of the seats in the new Performing Arts Center. We appreciate the generous spirit of the people of Aberdeen and appreciate their support of the Arts. We have met our goal of purchasing a new piano and it will soon be installed at the Performing Arts Center.
